BREAKING: Another APC Leader Death, Second In 24hours


Kingsley Shaba, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, is dead.

The member of APC State Elders’ Forum, passed away Sunday evening.


 
He was a member of the committee that worked out the blueprint for the current administration.

Shaba hailed from Isua in Akoko South East Local Government Area.

Ade Adetimehin, Ondo APC Chairman announced his demise on Monday.


 
In a statement by Alex Kalejaye, the Publicity Secretary, Adetimehin described the development as shocking.

“Dr K. B. Shaba was a man of integrity and exceptionally hardworking. He was a very committed and dependable political ally.


“The state chapter of APC equally recalls visiting the intelligent administrator in his house recently, when he spoke passionately about the gains of good governance and buoyant economy to the citizens,” he said.

Adetimehin condoled with the family, Akoko South East people and the Anglican Community.


He prayed that God would grant Shaba eternal rest. His death comes a day after Samuel Ojebode, a leader of the ruling party in Oyo State died. The renowned Awoist, 87, died over the weekend.

BREAKING NEWS:CNN ignores Nigeria's threat releases second report on Lekki shooting

  Amid threats of sanction from the Federal Government over its investigative report on the shootings at Lekki toll plaza during the #EndSARS protests, CNN has released a second report on the incident. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, had last week described CNN’s report on the Lekki shootings as poor journalism, adding that the network deserved to be sanctioned. Mohammed also followed up the threat with a letter addressed to the management of CNN in Atlanta.   However, the network on Tuesday did a second report with more damning footage showing soldiers shooting at unarmed protesters on October 20, 2020. The fresh report also shows the Commander, 81 Division, Brig. Gen Ahmed Taiwo, admitting before the judicial panel in Lagos that his men indeed took live ammunition to the tollgate.
